Alu-Cast’s aluminium fascia, soffit and roof capping’s were chosen by the Education and Training Boards Ireland (ETBI) for works on Terence MacSwiney Community College Cork. The long life span with a slick and modern looking finish to our products made it the ideal product for this project.
Terence MacSwiney Community College is built on an 11-acre site in Hollyhill Co. Cork. It first opened its doors in 1979 and is named after Irish playwright, author and politician Terence MacSwiney.
Our project consisted of the installation of Pressed Aluminium Fascia, extruded aluminium soffit panels and aluminium roof capping’s. These were powder coated in a dark grey RAL 7016 which transformed the building from 1979 to a modern day education centre. The fascia, soffit and capping’s were all manufactured in 3 metre lengths by Alucast’s manufacturing team.
The fascia measured 750mm high with a 50mm drip lip and was fitted with powder coated façade screws on the face of the fascia. Alucast’s unique soffit panels are 120mm wide and cut to length on site which in this case roughly 1metre lengths. These soffits were fitted with hidden screws fitted to each panel. Our roof capping’s were manufactured in 3metre lengths and measured 100mm high which gave a 50mm cover to the fascia and 250mm wide to fit perfectly down over the parapet wall and fitted again with façade screws on the face and tek screws on top.
All Alucast products can be made to order for your very own unique project. All our products can be powder coated in any RAL colour in either plain or textured finish.
